I have a son in law who hasn’t worked for years (not a single paycheck in6 years) and plays WoW 12-14 hours 7 days a week. Is this common? The addiction page says to put parental controls on it, but what is the addict IS THE PARENT? How could his game be sabotaged?

It’s actually very frustrating for people that are trying to have a life with people that are pretty much living in a different “world”. I tried to get into the game to save my relationship but I’m attending college so it’s hard to find time. The spare time I DO have I want to spend with my boyfriend but guess what…he’s on WOW. I know he cares about me but it is seriously much more important to him to be on the game…it’s sick.

No it’s not sick, The game is sick, I would like to thank Blizzard entertainment for all their hard work.
WOW replaces girlfriends! Maybe you should play the game to get closer to your boyfriend!

Just another note, I have been obviously trolling this board and posting crap that no one has moderated, so my guess is that on one is listening….they must be leveling their death knight.

This is my 2nd attempt to stop playing…1st time stayed off for 3 months. This time it took me 2 months since expansion came out. Re-installed and played till 5am almost every day…sometimes I do 3 days straight (with washroom/water breaks, but no sleep).

I hate wow. Play a real video game instead of this pathetic excuse of one. Be addicted to drugs so that you at least have an excuse to quit your job and be a loser.
Go outside and make some real friends.
That is all.

I am so sick of playing wow…i have gained weight, been harassed, it has made quitting smoking really hard, and im a vanilla vet…im so sick of this game. Someone should hire a lawyer and sue blizz for not informing ppl that this game is as addictive as some chemical substances, has withdrawl symptoms like many illegal drugs ive come in contact with…something needs to happen. Im not being forced to play but people who shoot heroin are not FORCED to do that either and its illegal. That is why there are comparable amounts of ppl on wow as to drug abusers world wide. And its growing. I have NOTHING against gaming and have my whole life, but the fact that there is a WoWA really shows what kind of a “game” this is.
